《天文学》杂志于1973年8月创刊，以月刊形式出版。是由位于威斯康辛州沃基肖（Waukesha）的卡姆巴克出版社（KalmbachPublishing）出版。读者群主要是对天文学有兴趣的业余人士，针对未来天象、天文仪器的新科技、天文摄影等。 每期《天文学》杂志前半部份的文章都是由天文学家介绍天文知识，后半部分则适合天文爱好者阅读。
